Our team was hooked from the moment they tasted this coffee from Milder Velásquez, a smallholder farmer in Guatemala’s Huehuetenango region.
Thanks to a new relationship forged with the Coopesqui cooperative at our Extraordinary Coffee Workshop, we first tasted Milder’s coffee during a blind cupping and never looked back.

Amid the buzz and whir of our roasting floor, themes of a coffee tree emerge that reminds us of the natural ingredient we work with every day. The coffee tree must be cared for under precise conditions in order to grow cherries. We roast these coffees with intention in order to pass on the unique taste of each origin to your cup.

An unusual variety from the shaded slopes of their farm in Marcala, this limited harvest presents a bouquet of florals, citrus, and sweet melon in the cup. We’re proud to present the La Tortuga series to celebrate 30 years since Marysabel and Moises began their journey together in coffee.
