🌞New Single Origin: Kenya Kirinyaga Kiangoi AA🌞
This washed lot comes to us via Kiangoi Washing Station in Kirinyaga County, Kenya. Kiangoi Washing Station lies between Nairobi and Mount Kenya, whose glaciers feed (among others) the Nyamindi River, which is the main source of water for the washing station itself and the surrounding community. Kirinyaga’s many glacier-fed rivers also help cool the surrounding areas, giving the farms in the county temperatures between 55 - 77F, privileged weather compared to other coffee-growing areas in Africa.
Farms in this region are surrounded by forests of native trees where wild animals such as elephants and buffalos live. Local coffee producers use fences strategically along their farm perimeters to protect their crops and minimize contact with potentially dangerous fauna.
The Kenyan government has prohibited logging and hunting in the area and producers are very respectful of these rules.

Little Bear Coffee 🤝 Cartel Roasting Co.
We are so excited to announce our Blends with Friends collab, launching today, 8/28!
You hope you can taste how much fun we had putting this together! This collaborative blend is a 50/50 mix of washed Peru and natural Colombia. These coffees contrast each other nicely - the clean, bright sweetness of the Peru marries harmoniously with the wild, complex fruit tones of the Colombia to produce a coffee that is well-rounded, full-bodied, sweet, and a little funky. We taste red apple, lime, and an undercurrent of baking spices.
