Today, as part of our 22nd Annual Helping Heroes initiative, thousands of H-E-B Partners honored and celebrated first responders across Texas for their dedicated service to our communities.
We are proud to share that more than 400 H-E-B stores and work locations adopted more than 1,300 fire, law enforcement, and EMS stations statewide to deliver meals and do volunteer work at their stations.
On behalf of H-E-B, a big thank you to all first responders for serving and protecting our Texas communities!🫶

H-E-B and the Houston Texans’ Will Anderson Jr. presented a $56,000 check to the Houston Food Bank in support of hunger relief and in honor of the Texans’ defense sack total during the 2025 Season! The H-E-B Sacks for Hunger Program has provided more than one million meals to help kids and families in the Houston area, and this donation will provide 168,000 meals across Houston!

All Helen Cortez wanted for her 99th birthday was a trip to H-E-B.
The last time she shopped with us in 1975, she was back home in San Benito, before moving out of state. Today, her grandson and his girlfriend brought her in to make it happen, and our H-E-B Irving Partners weren't going to let this be just any shopping trip!
Our gift to Helen was free groceries, a cake, beautiful flowers and a serenade by our Partners at checkout.
Happy 99th birthday, Helen. Thank you for spending your day with us! 🎂

The safety of our Partners, customers, and communities remains our top priority. Our teams are working alongside local organizations to support relief efforts in Kerr, Kendall and Uvalde counties with meals, supplies and other resources as needs continue to evolve.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Across Texas, hundreds of H-E-B Partners are paying their respects by placing flags at the headstones of fallen heroes in communities throughout the state. Today and every day, we are grateful for their sacrifice and for the Gold Star Families who continue carrying their legacy forward. 🇺🇸
