We were honored to celebrate a truly special moment yesterday—50 years of Waterloo Ice House—recognized with a mayoral proclamation ceremony!
Thank you to Mayor Kirk Watson and the City of Austin for this meaningful acknowledgment. It's incredibly humbling to be part of a community that has supported us for five decades.
To our guests, friends, and longtime regulars who showed up to celebrate with us—thank you. Your memories, loyalty, and presence are what make Waterloo what it is!
And to our amazing team, past and present—you are the heart of everything we do. This milestone belongs to you just as much as anyone.
We're so proud of where we've been, and even more excited about what's ahead.

Every Thursday in March, we're bringing back our 1976 Throwback Menu — available starting at 11am. Come grab a taste of the early Waterloo days and help us celebrate five decades of food, friends, and community.

To reach the Waterloo Ice House located at N. Capital of Texas Highway in Austin, you have a few options:
Public Transport:
1. Take the bus: Check the local bus schedule and find a route that stops near N. Capital of Texas Highway. Get off at the nearest stop and walk to the Waterloo Ice House.
Driving/Parking:
1. From downtown Austin: Head north on MoPac Expressway (Loop 1) until you reach the intersection with N. Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360). Take the exit onto N. Capital of Texas Highway and continue driving north until you spot Waterloo Ice House on your right.
Parking: There should be parking available in front of or near the restaurant.
2. From Austin-Bergstrom International Airport: Take TX-71 W from Presidential Blvd and continue on TX-71 W to Austin. Take the exit toward Loop 360/Capital of Texas Hwy from TX-71 W/US-290 W. Merge onto TX-71 W, then take the exit toward Loop 360/Capital of Texas Hwy. Continue driving on N. Capital of Texas Highway until you reach Waterloo Ice House on your left.
