Sundaze

Sundaze Sundaze was a popular quick-service food truck concept that specialized in vegan sandwiches. Despite facing occasional setbacks and closures, the restaurant had a loyal following. The owners occasionally posted updates on social media regarding their temporary closures due to unforeseen circumstances such as water leakage or personal events like the birth of a baby. However, they always made an effort to keep their customers informed about reopening dates. Unfortunately, Sundaze has permanently closed its doors, leaving fans without their beloved vegan "Chik'n" sandwiches.

Hey folks, we have a sad, but hopeful announcement to make. Our south location at End of an Ear is abruptly moving to reopen at our previous north spot at Possum Park. The south closure, is indefinite, which of course is a huge bummer. The folks at End of an Ear have been so supportive and gracious to us, and our supporters from the very beginning have been so wonderful for the past five years. But the impact of covid on us as a business and as individuals has ultimately brought us to make necessary changes in order to continue service at all.
I am personally humbled and grateful for every person who came to eat our food, and believed in what we do. I created Sundaze, developed the recipes, designed the logo, and created the processes of the entire operation. But for a long time now have known that it no longer belonged to me but to the community who has supported us, shared their love for our food, and kept us alive through some truly difficult times.
I knew that Sundaze wasn’t going to be something I did forever, but I never knew for how long or when I would need to move on. As the past year has made it absolutely clear that I personally as the founder and operator was at the end of my time here, I also knew it wasn’t really mine to give up.
So, I made it a personal goal to find a way for it to exist apart from my involvement. We have found two partners whom are already a presence in the vegan food truck community that we are in the process of exchanging ownership, that have the knowledge and resources to make Sundaze what it was always meant to be. And that to me is really exciting.
I will still be involved with the transition as the new ownership gets their grounding, and to ensure that the values and focus that Sundaze is based on remains intact.
I wish we had more notice to give before making this huge leap, but all the factors involved have created so many unknowns and the conclusion was that we needed to make this move before it was too late.

With that said, we will be open at our new location as soon as possible and will make the announcement as soon as we know that we can!

Thank you, and all my love
-Raine

We had to suddenly close today due to water leakage! I’ll be working to get us back open for tomorrow. Just recovering from a stomach bug when I woke up to find out all that was happening, including my sister and Sundaze co-owner, having her first baby. If you placed an order online and weren’t able to pick it up, refunds will be made today. Sorry for the inconvenience!!
