Amis, over the past few months we have been working to find a viable path through this unprecedented crisis.
It’s been a hard & unpredictable year. Even prior to COVID-19, we faced obstacles as the Northshore building underwent repairs and our block was covered in scaffolding — leaving our storefront looking shuttered & patio unusable.
While so many uncontrollable variables and unknowns remain, we have made the decision to continue to pause all Le Politique operations for the foreseeable future. It will be months before we can make a final determination on whether reopening in any capacity will make operational + financial sense.
While this update isn’t definitive, it felt like the right thing to do in order to be as transparent as possible with our guests & our team. Thank you for your understanding & support of Le Politique over the last few years. We opened our doors in hopes of becoming a bright neighborhood spot for our downtown neighbors to gather & make their own, and we hope to do so again someday.

We have made the incredibly hard decision to temporarily close Le Politique, in addition to La Condesa, all Sway locations, Il Brutto, La Matta, Central Standard, Otoko, Watertrade & Butler Pitch and Putt. Our goal is a simple one - to protect our community, our teams, and our company.
We are committed to not letting food go to waste and will use existing inventory to provide meals for our displaced staff. We will also have additional resources available to them to navigate this crisis.
We are heartbroken, but hopeful that the decision to act now will mean we have businesses and jobs to come back to when this passes.
