Jeffrey’s is proud to be included in the first Michelin Guide to Texas, announced last night in Houston.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, talent, and passion of our entire team—from Executive Chef Mark McCain and our kitchen crew to our GM David Olson, servers, hosts, bartenders, and every person who touches Jeffrey’s on a daily basis.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Jeffrey’s original founders, Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeff Weinberger, who opened Jeffrey’s in 1975. A huge thanks to all our loyal customers and the Austin community for your support throughout the decades.

This honor comes at a special time for Jeffrey’s as we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2025. We’re very grateful to have the Michelin Guide acknowledge our hard work and creativity, and we look forward to celebrating with all of you.

The host for the evening is the one and only Adi Badenhorst, the energetic, legendary South African winemaker from the Swartland region in South Africa. Badenhorst is a standout winery in the region and known world-wide for its full-bodied, complex Chenin Blanc white wines and Southern Rhone blend reds.

Featured wines include select verticals of the family’s white and red wines as well as special single vineyard bottles. Menu highlights include seasonal canapes, Seared Barnegat Scallops, Venison Loin Paillard, Veal Tenderloin with Sweetbreads and Spinach Cannelloni, and Chocolate Intemperance.

At Jeffrey’s, we sear them simply to a rich, golden mahogany, spoon over with velvety lardo brown butter and pair them with earthy lobster mushrooms and slightly bitter watercress. To get to the American restaurant and New American restaurant located on W Lynn Street in Austin, you can take the public transportation option by taking any of the buses that stop at the nearby West 6th Street or Enfield Road bus stops. Alternatively, if you prefer driving, you should take the Mopac Expressway and exit at Enfield Road.
