Our latest TURNSTILE SERIES RELEASE has a lot going on. Hope you set aside some time for small screen reading today! Earlier this year our homies Fleet Feet Austin, adidas Running and Wahoo brought a wild idea our way about attempting a world record 24 hour treadmill run up in the HOLD UP. We talked about getting a certain brewer of Dry Irish Stouts to certify the record but then we remembered WE'VE GOT DRY IRISH STOUT HOME, KIDS!
So, yeah, "Split the H" is our Dry Irish Stout and our first Nitro draft. Come Split the H and maybe run a treadmill mile, k? We need a few more runners. Adidas is providing the shoes, we've got the b**r (as does Turnstile Coffee Shop Restaurant Bar obvi), wahoo brought the treadmills. You just need to bring the fun. See ya at the hut!

Gone Boating...

Oi! Have a squizz at this frothie! Everyone's favorite southern hemi IPA, Koala Takedown, is back. This troppo take on hops features Nelson Sauvin, Rakau, and Kohia Nelson. Its pretty hectic if you're keen for passionfruit, orange, and guava notes in yer amber fluid.
As with many things around the hut, there's a Hayden story with Koala Takedown. I'm not entirely clear on the why, but apparently this sweet angel boy used to love to sneak up on Schmitty back in their Real Ale Brewing Co. days and, with a full-on-sprinting head of steam, jump and wrap his arms and legs around Schmitty in a tackle he dubbed "the Koala takedown". B**rs were certainly involved. An act of mixed up squirrelly affection and agression. It honestly sounds painful as hell. The total antithesis of drinking this b**r. This one's all affection, baby.

ONE - we're stoked to announce the newest member of the brew crew Keith Shaw ! Keith brings over a decade of experience making great b**rs at great breweries to Hold Out, alongside some pretty bitchin' Star Wars tattoos.
TWO - the return of our SAVE AUSTIN DRINK B**R tee-shirt-style-blouse. Cuz why not. Its got words on the front and words on the back and our logo on one sleeve and our brewery name on the other... in case you forget where you snagged it on account of how much fun drinking b**r is.

Semi Finals Action! Is there anywhere you'd rather be in a rainstorm than under the tin-roof-covered patio at Hold Out....skipping work for FUTBOL?! BIG MOMENT HERE! This weekend we're releasing the first in an ongoing series of b**rs brewed specifically with, and for, Turnstile Coffee Shop Restaurant Bar . This series is our way of paying mad respect to the community of craft b**r appreciation that's been fostered on BOTH SIDES of the bar at 10025 Burnet Road. If you haven't yet caught wind (look out!), we recently brought TURNSTILE into our family of businesses and we could not be more excited about carrying forward all the great things happening up there.
Ok. TURNSTILE SERIES #1.
Endeavor - English Summer Ale - 4.4% ABV - SMASH.
Brewed with 100% English style pale ale malt, and 100% UK Endeavor hops. Fermented with English ale yeast. Light, bright summer ale that balances soft, fruity esters from the English ale yeast, with notes of black currant & citrus from those English Endeavor hops.
A lot of us were pretty bummed Mexico lost last Sunday….but Silver Linings amiright?? this English B**r Release weekend programmed itself. We're gonna serve up a classic Fish N Chips tomorrow all day and during the ENGLAND v NORWAY match (while it lasts). Pitchers will also be $6 off during the match. See ya at the HUT.
