We’re somehow already halfway through the year, so naturally, we’ve been arguing over our favorite Irish albums of 2026.

January kicked things off with Ailbhe Reddy’s Kiss Big, alongside brilliant releases from Ye Vagabonds and Dani Larkin. February gave us Cardinals’ long-awaited debut, plus stellar albums from Big Sleep and Rosie Carney.

March might just be the month to beat. Joshua Burnside, Foy Vance, and Chalk all dropped records that couldn’t sound more different, yet every one of them is in the Album of the Year conversation. (And yes, all three have played The Dead Rabbit in the last year. Coincidence? We think not.) Throw in Pull Like a Dog from our pals The Scratch and Curtisy releasing his third album in three years, and it was a serious month for Irish music.

The momentum hasn’t slowed either. In April and May, Dermot Kennedy, David Kitt, Glen Hansard, Mick Flannery, and Kneecap all delivered new records, while June's soundtrack has come courtesy of Loah, Dea Matrona, and HAVVK.

Safe to say Irish music's had a very good year so far. Listen to our round-up now, at the link below.

While we might occasionally give you a hangover, we can also cure it, thanks to our café, Grá Mór.

Stop in from 8am for hot and iced coffees, carby pastries, hot food to bring you back to life, healthy juices for hydration, and service with a smile that reminds you - whatever happened last night, it probably wasn't that bad.

And if it was, coffee always helps.

Do you remember the Great Lamb Debate of 2023? Back then, we made the grievous mistake of taking our Lamb Chops off the menu.

They’d been a house favorite since day one, and we should have known better. Never again.

Our lighter Summer version features four chops marinated in Irish yogurt, lemon, and Old Bay, served with a cooling mint and yogurt dip.

Juicy, fresh, and moreish - proof that some classics are classics for a reason, and that we really do listen to our guests.

While the Scots have been busy drinking Boston dry, we've been reminiscing about our opening weekend, when we bought every available keg of Guinness in the city.

Fortunately, it's been smooth sailing ever since, and our cellar has remained fully stocked.

Stop by to catch every World Cup match on our screens, pint in hand. And yes, we're very proud of our Celtic cousins.

No Guinness, No Party.

The Dead Rabbit, says Lily, is one of the most collaborative places she’s ever worked, with everyone pulling together to make the whole team stronger. And no, we didn’t pay her to say that.

A former (and current) colleague of Brittany’s, Lily started with us as a server and now works behind the bar. And if there's anyone she'd love to make a drink for, it's Amy - her long-standing favourite member of staff at Texas Chili Parlor.

Because although hospitality’s a small world - our community’s always growing. And Amy - consider this your official invitation.

Father’s Day falling on a Sunday feels like a bit of good fortune, seeing as it’s already our favorite day of the week.

For starters, it’s the one day you can get our Sunday Roast. Recently revamped, it features roasted sirloin of beef, bread stuffing, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese gratin, roasted vegetables, a Yorkshire pudding, beef gravy, and horseradish cream. A mouthful in every sense.

And the cherry on top? Our Sunday Seisiún runs from 6pm - 10pm in The Taproom Extension, featuring fiddles, guitars, uilleann pipes, banjos, and bodhráns. If he'd rather spend the evening watching the football, we’ll have that on the screens too.

G’wan, he deserves it.

Cúpla Pints, Episode Twelve - meet singer, songwriter, and future movie star Winnie Ama.

Originally from Belfast, Winnie’s called London home for the past 13 years, though she still makes the trip back every couple of weeks. For pints, you'll find her at Lavery's and Ulster Sports Club. For live music, it's the Oh Yeah Music Centre or O2 Brixton Academy. And if there's one Irish artist permanently on rotation, it's Joshua Burnside. Snap.

Winnie's just launched North Star at the Irish Arts Center NY, running through June 21st. She'll also be joining us at The Dead Rabbit on June 23rd from 6pm - 7pm for a special performance, and if that wasn't enough, she'll be making her big-screen debut in Supergirl, landing in cinemas on June 26th.

As for the Guinness? Well, she’s got other priorities. We'll call it a respectable 7/10, putting Winnie level with Ailbhe Reddy and Aaron Rowe on the Cúpla Pints leaderboard. Supergirl? Superpints.

Will bartenders ever tire of making Negroni riffs? When the results are this good, we certainly hope not.

When Worlds Collide takes the familiar building blocks of the classic and turns them on their head.

The boozy backbone comes from El Unión Viejo Mezcal and Fords Sloe Gin, while Italian bitter is swapped for Primo Aperitivo, a Mexican aperitivo built around citrus and a blend of botanicals. Finally, vermouth is flavored with green bell pepper, for something that’s recognizably Negroni-adjacent, but unexpected enough to keep you going back for more.

Fair warning - if you're heading in to watch the World Cup with us, it's been a little busy. Some matches more than others, of course.

Normally, we'd be cheering on Ireland. Unfortunately, they didn't get the memo.

Fortunately, we've got team members and guests from every corner of the globe, and their loyalties span far and wide. From Croatia to Mexico, Scotland to England, and Costa Rica to Brazil, here’s who the crews at The Dead Rabbit NY, The Irish Exit NY, and San Patricios are rooting for.

Watch every game at all of our venues - though if you’d rather avoid it, The Life of Reilly is very much screen-free.

Most of Long Thai’s cocktails begin with food, and Led Zeppelin is no exception.

Long’s wife loves snacking on fruit dipped in sea salt and fiery chilis, crushed together in a mortar and pestle. Tamarind, pineapple, watermelon, green mango, and guava are among her favorites - and it was the latter that sparked this Daisy riff.

Volcán Blanco Tequila lays down a clean, mineral backbone, lifted by green chile heat. Lime and saline keep things sharp, while guava, pamplemousse, and lemongrass add a tropical edge, and a touch of habanero builds a slow, lingering heat - echoing the snack that set the whole thing in motion.

A stairway to cocktail heaven, indeed.

Today, Dublin celebrates Bloomsday - an annual literary festival marking the events of Ulysses, written by acclaimed Irish writer, James Joyce. So what is it, exactly?

The book follows the protagonist, Leopold Bloom, as he navigates his way through Ireland’s capital on Thursday, June 16th, 1904 - the exact date Joyce had his first date with his future wife, Nora. One for the lovers.

And for those who haven’t tackled its 700-odd pages, Ulysses mentions more than 70 places where a person might find a drink, around half of which are still standing today. Leopold clearly appreciated a good pub, and Joyce did too. That’s something we have in common.

Enthusiasts mark the day dressed in boater hats, bowler hats, and Edwardian dress, retracing Bloom’s footsteps, gathering for readings and performances, touring the pubs mentioned in the book, and tucking into the famous Joycean Breakfast - complete with fried pork kidneys, just as Bloom enjoyed them.

For one day each year, an entire city turns a novel into a pub crawl. Personally, we think Joyce would be delighted.

We’re proud of the team members who’ve been with us since day one, the newbies giving it their all, and even the ones who’ve flown the nest.

When Mario and Ian joined us seven years ago, they arrived as a dynamic duo, rising through the ranks to become Bar Director (Mario) and General Manager (Ian). They departed last year, with a vision to launch their own bar. And now they have. Bar Limo officially opened last week, offering dinner, weekend brunch, and cocktails ‘til late, at 33 Avenue B - and we couldn’t be more excited to see this dream come to fruition.

Ally Marrone worked with us some six years ago - but she left a lasting impression. Always full of joy, she brought her passion, energy, and broad smile to every shift. Now, she’s co-owner of Kinda Nice, which opened in East Williamsburg just last month, blending nostalgic Americana with serious bar pedigree.

Both bars bring something genuinely new and exciting to the New York community, and we couldn’t be prouder to visit our alumni in their own venues. Mario, Ian, and Ally - we’ve loved seeing you at our bars - now it’s time to share a drink in yours.

Your Da deserves a treat, and we’ve got just the thing.

Join us on Father’s Day for our famous Sunday Roast - prime rib, champ, stuffing, roasted broccoli, creamed cauliflower, Yorkshire pudding, and lashings of onion gravy.

We’ll have the World Cup on our screens, and Happy Hour from 3pm - 6pm and 11pm - 2am, featuring $2 oysters, $8 Guinness, cocktail specials, and more.

Sure, all he has to do is show up.

Raspados are a common street treat in Mexico - shaved ice drenched in flavored syrups. Cold, bright, and perfect in hot weather - the kind of thing that disappears before you know it.

To capture that same cooling effect, we combine raspberry, honey, and mint syrups with crème de framboise, then whip them with crushed ice, Demerara rum, Tequila, and fresh citrus.

Tony says it’s super refreshing, light, and absolutely delicious - but don’t take his word for it, come try it for yourself.

El Dorado 5yr Demerara Rum, Pantalones Blanco Tequila, Raspberry, Lime, Honey, Pineapple.

From bagels and coffee to mezcal, pizza, and ferry rides, everyone has their own version of New York.

This time, Jacob shares his. From his favorite cocktail haunts and date-night spots to the city's best views and the dollar slice debate, he's giving us a personal guide to the places he keeps coming back to - plus a few hot takes along the way. Spoiler alert: Avoid Times Square.

Check the pinned comments for the full list, and stay tuned for more recommendations from the team.

At The Life of Reilly, our menu is a guide, not a boundary.

We have eight house cocktails listed, each built around a specific ingredient. Once those ingredients are gone, we don't make them again, which means the menu is constantly evolving.

But if you don’t see what you fancy, just tell us, and we’ll make something Off Script, just for you. We have a huge range of ingredients and styles to draw from, which means we can really hone in on what you want, whether your request is "something boozy with irish whiskey" or " I want to be a tropical pirate" - yep, both requests we've gotten verbatim.

Because the most important thing is giving you what you want, whether it’s listed or not. Ideally, says Aidan, that means every visit becomes its own experience, creating more and more memorable moments along the way.

Stop in Wednesday through Thursday from 6pm – 1am, and Friday through Saturday from 6pm – 2am.

Earlier this week, Monica DeJesus and Brittany McMillan took to the road for a whirlwind trip across the Isle of Man and Ireland.

They popped up at Kiki’s on the sunny streets of Douglas before heading to The Sidecar at The Westbury in Dublin, and Pig’s Lane in Killarney.

Of course, it wasn’t all work. There were cocktails at BAR 1661, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, a tour of Roe & Co Distillery, and a night spent exploring Killarney’s world-class pubs - all in the name of professional development, naturally.

We’re incredibly proud to have Monica and Brittany representing The Dead Rabbit on the road, sharing what we do while learning from some of the very best in the business. GRMA to everyone who came by, pulled up a stool, asked questions, and helped make the trip so memorable. We’ll see you next time.

Visiting Austin and not sure where to start? Julia’s got you covered.

First up, head to Sam’s Town Point - a quintessential Texas honky-tonk with live music, dancing, and dive bar drinks.

Next, grab lunch and a frozen cocktail from Pool Burger, before heading to Deep Eddy Pool for a swim, featuring clear-blue spring-fed waters at 68 to 70 degrees all year long.

And finally, JuiceLand's smoothies have become mandatory whenever Julia has friends visiting from out of town. In fact, they're usually so obsessed after the first visit that they end up going back for more.

Four stops, one very good Austin vacation.
