Let me tell yall a quick story.
When I was on the last day of our 2026 annual Jersey recon tour, I decided to go to Philadelphia to try and link with to shoot some content at the Famous Skinnyās Cheesesteaks.
Unfortunately I was running behind all day so I arrived at Skinnyās much later than I wanted to and just missed Joey by a few minutes but I stayed, ate a steak and shot some content.
Afterwards, I hopped back in my car to drive back to NJ when I thought to myself, I should drive down to South Philly and get some pics and shoot some content of the Famous Genoās and Patās Steaks. My GPS said it was only 11 mins from where I was at so I said what the heck, Iāll just go and not even eat just take pics for 10 mjns and head home.
Well Iām so glad I did because I ended up stumbling across a wonderful gentleman by the name of Anthony who iām blessed and honored to now call a friend.
Anthony is a Cancer survivor who grew up in South Philly his entire life and ended up taking me on a 2 day tour through South Philly and the legendary Italian Market.
We talked about everything under the sun and he told me so many interesting stories about life growing up in a different time period in South Philadelphia in a Mafia ran neighborhood where everyone knew you and your mother and your grandparents and your children.
He took me to all the shops and introduced me to the workers and I was able to hear their stories and experiences working and living in the market. Such a special treat.
Anthony made my whole experience those days with him, one I will cherish and never forget. A true Gem of a man and someone who I call friend.
I sent him some merch that I know heāll wear proud in his neighborhood and represent R&Bās with pride as the āUltimate Grillmanā.
Thank you Anthony, until we meet again.

This year on our annual Cheesesteak tour we really took the time to sit and reflect.
What a journey the last 7 years has been, but also what a blessing to be able to continue still do what we love day in and day out.
In years past, we always used our time home in Nj to visit Philadelphia and other parts of Pennsylvania, to hone in on our skills and revamp our systems and processes. Bringing back whatever knowledge we could that could help us put out a better product or incorporate smoother service or just tweak a couple things in an attempt to be a better company than we were before our trip home.
All of those years we never stopped and realized all the wonderful places in our own hometown that are legendary in their own sense and all have really great sandwiches and hoagies of their own.
Here are some of the places we have been spoiled to have in our backyards growing up outside of Trenton, Nj.
**(All these places besides the steak shop on the boardwalk, are within a 10 minute drive from our childhood home in Hamilton Square, NJ.)**
Owner Manny of Mario and Frankās IV is a legendary local industry professional who owns and operates our go-to Pizzeria back home and has been giving us business advice and restaurant mentorship for a couple years now. Heās a great restaurateur but an even better human being and wonderful family man.
Go see him for lunch and dinner for full menu options of all your favorite classic Italian dishes.
