September 16 is closing in fast — straight from Tuscany, a message
from Giovanni Folonari, eighth generation of Tenute Folonari.

He’ll be at Siena pouring his own w**e and talking through it himself,
right at the table, as it’s served. Thank you to Kobrand Fine W**e & Spirits for bringing him to Siena!

Our Austin Restaurant Weeks menu is live — three courses for $50, from August 28 through September 13, 2026.

This isn’t a discount menu — it’s a fundraiser. Restaurants across Austin set aside a portion of what’s ordered off it, and that money goes straight to the Central Texas Food Bank, which feeds more than 610,000 people a year across 21 counties. Every dollar raised goes further than you’d think: $1 donated provides 3 meals.

Start with something like the Provoleta or the Meatballs, move into an entrée like the Costine di Manzo or Casarecce della Nonna (or step up to the Frutti di Mare, Terra e Mare, or veal Milanese for a supplement), and finish with the chocolate-pistachio torte or a scoop of gelato. It’s a good way to taste a few sides of Tuscan food in Austin in one sitting, and know the meal’s doing something beyond the table.

Ever wonder what Austin Restaurant Weeks actually is? It’s not just a promotion — it’s a city-wide fundraiser. For about two and a half weeks, restaurants across Austin offer specially priced menus, and that money goes straight to the Central Texas Food Bank, which feeds more than 610,000 people a year across 21 counties.

As one of the Italian restaurants in Austin taking part, our version is a $50, three-course dinner, all evening, now through September 13.

This week, the special runs from Tuesday to Thursday. : three courses, no rush.

Insalata Caprese opens it up — fresh tomatoes and basil under a pistachio basil pesto, with burrata being the star. Then a pan roasted leek and potato zuppa, finished with green onion and parmesan. The main is Coniglio — confit Spanish rabbit over a wild mushroom and pea risotto, built on white w**e.

Pro tip: the risotto holds its own against a glass of something white and dry from the list — ask your server for a pairing that won't compete with the rabbit.

Full restaurant, all evening, 3 nights this week. One of the more overlooked ways to get a real Tuscan-leaning dinner in at an Italian restaurant in Austin.
