Torchy's Tacos is a popular Mexican fast food restaurant that was founded in 2006 by Mike Rypka, who left a prestigious executive chef position to pursue his passion for creating delicious food. Starting with just a mobile trailer and a red Vespa, Rypka took to the streets, handing out samples of his experimental menu in an effort to attract customers. The response was overwhelming, with people quickly becoming fans of Torchy's Tacos and proclaiming, "damn these tacos are good!" Since then, Torchy's Tacos has grown into a beloved chain with over 70 locations and a loyal following of Taco Junkies. Despite its expansion, Torchy's remains committed to serving high-quality, cooked-to-order tacos at every location.
